Mochaware was everyday pottery in early America. The simple geometric decorations and dynamic colors have remained timeless and popular since first made in England in the early 19th century. An embossed rouletting wheel would be pressed into the desired area to create the band of repeating decoration. Green glaze was often used on the rim which would look darker in the deeper parts of the pattern. Our pieces are created by the very talented potters Sue & Joe. Each piece is unique in its own way.
